Welcome to the
Vietnam Access Conference

Date

16 – 17 September 2025

About the event

The Year of the Snake was expected to be the start of the most transformative period in decades for Vietnam. The government’s ‘Era of Ascendance’ reforms are being hailed for their significance and are unparalleled since the 1986 Doi Moi policies which first unlocked the nation’s market economy. Yet, ambition alone won’t drive returns, execution will be the key, and this has post-liberation day run straight into repercussions from Trump’s determination to de-globalise and focus inwards. Will Vietnam be able to continue to “dance with all partners” or, will it be time to choose?

This year’s VAC aims to provide actionable insights on:

  • Where are the biggest opportunities in Vietnam’s structural reforms? With ministries consolidated, inefficiencies addressed, and infrastructure projects fast-tracked, how will these changes flow through to corporate earnings?
  • Will market returns reflect the strength of the real economy? If domestic policy and structural changes drive growth, what catalysts will spur domestic investors to deploy their ample un-banked liquidity into the market?
  • How are Dragon’s portfolio managers balancing domestic opportunity against global uncertainty? Is 2025 solely a year for defensive allocations, or is this the moment to preposition for alpha from emerging strengths?

We hope that you can join us in assessing Doi Moi 2.0 against the uncertainties of Trump 2.0, and what it will mean for Vietnam’s investment performance.
